The Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth in referrals and clinic demand, we are seeking an experienced Hand Therapist to join our thriving Caroline Springs clinic on a full-time basis.
Our diverse caseload provides our therapists with an incredible variety of clinical work (tailored to your interests), including hospital inpatient visits, custom splinting, exercise rehab classes, musicians' injuries, pain management, hydrotherapy, handwriting difficulties, work site assessments, and return-to-work liaison.
Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Delivering high-quality hand and upper limb rehabilitation
- Constructing and implementing hand rehabilitation programs
- Managing a diverse caseload including post-operative patients
- Liaising with surgeons and referrers
- Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical documentation
- Contributing positively to a supportive, vibrant team culture
Requirements
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be looking to advance their Hand Therapy career through ongoing learning and development and will strive for their personal best in all situations.
Additionally, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy with full AHPRA registration
- A current Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain)
- A passion for hand injuries, splinting and hand therapy with at least 2-3 years' clinical hand therapy experience
- AHTA membership (desirable)
- Strong time management and communication skills
- The capacity to work independently, proactively and empathetically with clients
- A commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth
