Are you a passionate paediatric allied health professional who enjoys working in schools and delivering engaging group learning experiences?
The Animal Fun Program is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Physiotherapists and/or Exercise Physiologists across New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory, and Tasmania to join our team as independent contractors.
About Animal Fun
Animal Fun is a play-based, evidence-informed movement program developed by allied health professionals and researchers at Curtin University. It supports children aged 3–6 years to develop:
Gross motor skills (balance, coordination, strength)
Fine motor skills (hand control, dexterity)
Social-emotional skills (self-regulation, attention, engagement)
Early learning readiness and confidence in movement
The program is delivered in early childhood education and school settings through structured, imaginative “animal movement” activities, training workshops, and resource-supported implementation.
The Opportunity
We are seeking allied health professionals to:
Deliver Animal Fun professional development workshops to early childhood educators and school staff
Support implementation of the program within early childhood services and primary school settings
Work as independent contractors within your local region
Promote play-based, evidence-informed approaches to child development
Engage in community and educational settings to support program uptake and sustainability
Locations

New South Wales (NSW)
Queensland (QLD)
Northern Territory (NT)
Tasmania (TAS)
Who We’re Looking For
You will be well suited to this role if you:
Are a qualified Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist
Have experience working in paediatric settings
Have demonstrated experience working in schools and/or early childhood education environments
Have workshop facilitation or group training experience, particularly with educators or multidisciplinary audiences
Enjoy delivering engaging, movement-based or play-based group programs
Are confident (or willing to develop confidence) in facilitating professional learning workshops
Hold appropriate professional registration and insurance for independent practice
