Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy
Company Overview
With locations throughout the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast, you are in good hands with Sports and Spinal Physio.
From humble beginnings in a small office in Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore, with just one Physiotherapist, the Maroochydore Sports and Spinal Physio Practice has grown from its original office to now include 8 locations on the Sunshine Coast, with practices at:
• Maroochydore
• Buderim
• Kawana
• Nambour
• Coolum Beach
• Caloundra
• Sippy Downs
• Landsborough
And now Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy have established their services in Brisbane and Gold Coast including:
• Chermside
• Woolloongabba
• North Lakes
• Redcliffe
• Robina
Simon Burley began the original Maroochydore practice in 1992 and is now joined by Practice Partners Sean Campbell, Andrew Duff and Danielle Keogh with Associate Partners Louise Meek in Coolum, Mike Davis in Chermside, Sophie Stewart in Nambour, Laura Perry Maroochydore, Dion Wallace in Kawana, Nathan Craig in Woolloongabba, Bethany Butler in Sippy Downs and Siliva Tufuga in North Lakes.
Today Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy Centres employ over 100 staff, including professional Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Podiatrists, Exercise Physiologists and Remedial Massage Therapists as well as an outstanding Admin team.
Simon feels the key to its success has been the high professionalism of the staff combined with the friendly family atmosphere.
“Many of our physios and staff have been with us over 20 years and our families have grown up together” says Simon. Heidi Wills has been in the office from the beginning (straight from high school at Immanuel College) and physios Briony McSwan & Fiona Rogers have been with us between 17 and 21 years. Many staff for 10+ years.
“Our senior staff have all developed expertise in their area of interest, to create their own specialised programs unique to our patients.”
Our point of difference from other practices is that our senior staff have all developed expertise in their area of interest, doing postgraduate studies to enhance their knowledge and skills. This ensures that you receive the most up-to-date evidence and experienced based care. In a small practice you have to be a “jack of all trades” but in larger clinics, we can specialise and become experts in certain conditions. Our staff will book you with an expert every time.
