Phytness Healthcare is a multidisciplinary provider of allied health services to the Illawarra. Our team includes physiotherapists with a range of special interests and advanced skills, exercise physiologist, sports physician, biomechanical podiatrist, dietician and remedial massage therapists. We currently provide services from two clinic locations with purpose built facilities and a range of cutting edge technologies to back up the clinical skills of the team, as well as off-site services to individuals, aged care facilities and corporate clients.
Phytness HealthCare recognises its staff as its most valuable asset. Our senior therapists have an extensive collective professional experience and have all completed post-graduate university studies in their fields of clinical expertise. Each therapist in our team brings a valuable array of clinical experience to Phytness HealthCare. In being selected to join the Phytness HealthCare clinical team, all team members have displayed exceptional clinical reasoning abilities and interpersonal skills, ensuring that they can work constructively with each and every client to assist them to reach their individual goals.
All Phytness HealthCare team members demonstrate their commitment to continuing professional development with the support of the organisation, through regular attendance at training courses both within our organisation and externally. In this way, our clients are assured that the treatment options offered to them by Phytness HealthCare are the best available in line with evidence-based clinical guidelines and current scientific research.
Phytness HealthCare focuses on creating a culture that encourages multi-disciplinary team interaction wherever this can assist client outcomes. This occurs with both regular formal case conferencing sessions as well as informal interaction that is encouraged between the team members. In this way, clients with complex needs can be assured of obtaining the best treatment options in a coordinated approach from the Phytness HealthCare team members.
Company History
Phytness Physiotherapy was formed in 2004 with the goal of providing best practice physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in an environment that would attract and retain the best team members, and allow clients to confidently access the services needed to reach their individual health, fitness and lifestyle goals.
Phytness Physiotherapy began operating the single therapist Fairy Meadow Physiotherapy Centre in 2004. In 2005, Phytness Physiotherapy established a second Physiotherapy practice within the Exercise Science and Rehabilitation Centre (ESRC) located in The University of Wollongong Recreation and Aquatic Centre. In 2009, Phytness Physiotherapy took over the management of the services that had previously formed the ESRC from the University, incorporating the Exercise Physiology, Dietetics and Massage services into our multi-disciplinary centres at Fairy Meadow and the University of Wollongong. Since this time, the organisation has been known as Phytness HealthCare.
Since establishment, Phytness HealthCare’s reputation for quality, individual service and demonstrated positive outcomes for our clients has seen the organisation grow to a team of 20 allied health practitioners and support staff. Our referral base and clientele has continued to expand on the basis of recommendations from clients who have achieved positive improvements in their health and well-being with the assistance of Phytness HealthCare.
