Company Profile
Northwest Physiotherapy Group
Company Overview
We are an established high quality, 'hands on' physiotherapy practice operating in the Essendon/Moonee Ponds area since 1990. The directors Russell Visser and Graham Nelson are very experienced and passionate about delivering excellent outcomes to our clients. Russell was an AFL physiotherapist from 1988 to 1996 and Graham has completed a Masters in Manipulative Therapy. Since 2011 they have been accredited Ridgway Method practitioners using an objective, systematic approach to achieve great results for all those that we treat. Nicole Tén is our senior physiotherapist who loves teaching and has a special interest in Women's Health. The clinic also takes on physiotherapy students because of a commitment to developing our profession. All the physios encourage active patient self management and preventative strategies.
Company History
Russell Visser started Essendon and Moonee Pond Physiotherapy in 1990 while he was working as a team physiotherapist for the Footscray Football Club, now known as the Western Bulldogs. He was joined by Graham Nelson in 2000 who established himself as an excellent clinician. The partnership set up a second clinic in the Northern Suburbs which was sold in 2012.
After 17 years the main clinic moved to Moonee Ponds junction and was renamed Northwest Physiotherapy Group and joined the team at The Centre for Mind and Movement. We worked closely with a host of health providers, particularly masseurs, Pilates instructors and Personal Trainers. In 2016 we moved to newly renovated rooms in Freeman St Essendon. This purpose-designed building is also equipped to provide Remedial Massage, Shockwave Therapy, Gait and Running analysis and has a dedicated exercise room.
