Our client is a leading provider of clinic and community-based rehabilitation services, supporting clients across all ages and clinical needs. They are seeking a dedicated Team Leader - Occupational Therapist to manage and mentor a high-performing allied health team while contributing to strategic growth and service excellence.
This full-time role is split between clinical responsibilities (0.7 FTE) and leadership/management duties (0.3 FTE), with flexibility by mutual agreement. The Team Leader will be responsible for operational oversight, professional standards, workforce planning, and quality assurance, while also delivering evidence-based therapy in line with organisational values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading team performance, including appraisals, development plans, and productivity benchmarks
- Managing recruitment, induction, and retention of staff
- Overseeing training, education, and service meetings
- Driving service improvements, innovation, and strategic projects
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external funding bodies
- Engaging with stakeholders, referrers, and community networks
- Delivering high-quality clinical services and maintaining documentation standards
- Promoting team culture, satisfaction, and continuous professional development
- Contributing to marketing, social media, and brand promotion
Requirements
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, documentation, and scope of practice
- Familiarity with NDIS, DVA, and other funding frameworks
- Proven ability to manage team performance, recruitment, and service delivery
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and client-centred care
- Ability to contribute to strategic planning, innovation, and continuous quality improvement
- Willingness to participate in marketing, community engagement, and professional development initiatives
- Compliance with WHS and professional registration standards
