Are you a proactive, passionate therapist, looking to be part of a friendly, collaborative and innovative team of Pelvic Health Physio’s who are passionate about their work and achieving optimal outcomes for their clients?

If you are, we’d love to hear from you!

About us:

Based in Dee Why, nestled in amongst multiple Specialist and GP practices, we are the only clinic on the Beaches specialising in treatment and management of the pelvis (and peri-natal women). Our caseload is very varied within this specialised area, and includes:

  1. Internal dysfunctions such as bladder and bowel incontinence, urgency, prolapse, pain, and constipation
  2. External dysfunction such as low back, pelvic, hip and groin pain
  3. Pre-natal management such as pre-natal birth education, pelvic floor preparation, pelvic girdle pain, and safe exercise advice
  4. Post-natal management such as post-natal pelvic health and abdominal wall checks, pelvic floor/deep core retraining programmes, mastitis, and return to exercise programmes
  5. Peri-operative management for both men and women such as prostatectomy, gynae and cancer surgeries
  6. Pelvic Health focused group exercise classes
  7. Education programmes

Our clients range from 4yrs to 90+yrs old, and are some of the best clients you’ll ever work with, being both health conscious and motivated.  This allows us to strive for, and achieve, the best possible outcomes for them. We receive referrals from, and collaborate closely with our extensive network of GP's (both regular and Integrative), Specialists, Physios, Chiros, Osteopaths, Midwives, Doulas, Personal Trainers, Coaches, Psychologists, Yoga and Pilates Instructors, Naturopaths and Nutritionists, as well by 'word of mouth', always looking for ways to improve our service and advocate for our pelvic health population.

As a team, we provide a warm, inclusive and trauma-informed environment in the clinic, where everyone is welcome regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or culture. Our clients are our focus, collaborating together to achieve their own specific goals and optimise their recovery.

About you:

Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, professional, hard-working Pelvic Health Physio with excellent communication and time management skills, who is passionate about their job and loves working within a friendly, collaborative team. It is a broad role, within the specialised area of pelvic physiotherapy and expertise in all areas of treatment and management is not expected, however a willingness to learn is.

You will be an essential part of our dynamic team, sharing your expertise, working with the team to develop both yours, and the team’s knowledge and skills, bringing innovative ideas to life within this rapidly growing area of practice.  You will receive 1:1 mentoring from our Principal Physiotherapist and be encouraged to develop your own personal areas of interest to develop or create new services within the clinic.  It is expected that you will continue to attend external professional development courses/seminars/conferences and will be provided with a very generous annual allowance to enable this to happen.

About the role:

This can be a full-time, or part-time, Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist role that encompasses both clinical hours and exercise class instruction, with an opportunity to increase your hours over time if desired.  There is also an opportunity to lead education sessions, both in person and via webinar, to continue to promote pelvic health literacy both within our referral network and the general public.

Requirements

You will have AHPRA registration and will have completed your training in women's, men's & pelvic health.  In addition you will have at least 2-3yr’s relevant musculoskeletal or sports physiotherapy experience.  Evidence of continued learning in this specialised area of practice is essential, with experience in men’s health or willingness to learn men’s health, a distinct advantage.

Please put your application in writing, including your CV, with details of all previous continuing professional development, and at least 2 references.

Remuneration is generous and negotiable dependent upon clinical experience.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
