Description
We are Active Performance, a Cairns-based clinic with a big heart and an even bigger purpose – to provide exceptional allied health services and empower our clients to overcome barriers and achieve their health goals.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our warm, driven, down-to-earth team. If you’re someone who values connection, loves variety in your caseload, and wants to grow your skills in private practice – you might be exactly who we are looking for.
A Bit About Us
Our mission is simple but powerful:
We provide exceptional allied health services and empower our clients to overcome barriers and achieve their health goals.
We’ve got a collaborative team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Dietitian, Speech Pathologist, Remedial Massage Therapists and Allied Health Assistants. We take a client-centered approach, we’re proud of our inclusive and respectful culture, and we’re always pushing ourselves to grow – as clinicians and as people.
Why join our team?
We’ve built something special here – a close-knit team that genuinely cares about each other and the people we support. At Active Performance, we work hard, learn together, and always find the time to have a laugh (or a team lunch).
We work out of a modern, centrally located clinic with a spacious and well-equipped gym – the perfect environment for both clients and clinicians to thrive.
Here’s a glimpse of what we offer:
- A dynamic caseload of private practice clients from all walks of life, right here in Cairns and surrounding areas
- Weekly Professional Development, mentoring and support tailored to your goals
- A values-driven workplace that lives and breathes Integrity, Trust, Teamwork, Growth and Accountability
- Regular team-building activities, social catch ups and genuine support – because your wellbeing matters to us
What the role looks like
- A salaried role (0.6–1.0 FTE) with benefits – including superannuation, and a dedicated PD allowance to support your ongoing learning and upskilling
- A welcoming and well-equipped clinic space with shared areas for collaboration and a solid referral network to keep your caseload interesting and varied
- A gentle build up into your caseload so you can find your rhythm and feel supported as you settle in
- A positive, inclusive team culture where everyone has a voice and your personal growth matters just as much as your clinical skills
- Plenty of fun outside the treatment room, from wellness sessions and shared lunches to low-key social catch-ups
- A schedule you can enjoy – no weekend or public holiday work required, because work-life balance is important to us
- New Graduates welcome to apply
Requirements
As a member of our team, you will:
- Deliver exceptional, client-focused Physiotherapy within our private practice, working with a diverse group of people and presenting conditions
- Work alongside a collaborative and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team who value flexibility, problem solving and thinking on your feet
- Be supported through 1:1 supervision, regular team check-ins and engaging professional development sessions
- Count on a reliable and friendly admin team to keep the wheels turning behind the scenes, so you can focus on delivering great care to your clients
