- New or Early Career Physiotherapist Premier Mentoring & Career Development Program
Description
Start your physiotherapy career the right way — with genuine mentoring, growth and support.
At Sunbury & Gisborne Physiotherapy, we believe new and early-career physiotherapists deserve more than just a job — they deserve a launchpad for a fulfilling, long-term career. From day one, you’ll have the structure, mentorship, and feedback from senior clinicians who are genuinely invested in your growth — helping you accelerate your development, build confidence in clinical reasoning, and establish the professional habits that set great physios apart.
This full-time position offers a varied and rewarding  private practice caseload including musculoskeletal, sports and post-surgical presentations.
You’ll also have the opportunity to gain exposure to pelvic health, vestibular, concussion and hand therapy if these areas interest you.
Your week includes dedicated paid admin and professional development time within work hours, plus the ability to run group exercise sessions — as you’re ready — across Strength & Conditioning, Clinical Pilates, and Aquatic Physiotherapy.
The role is primarily based at our Sunbury clinic, with 1-2 sessions at our Gisborne location, situated within a large medical centre. There, you’ll work alongside GPs, specialists, and other allied health professionals, gaining valuable experience in a collaborative multidisciplinary setting.
You’ll enjoy a very attractive starting salary package of $91,000 (including super) — well above industry average — plus a substantial $5,000 annual PD allowance (with $2,000 in fully covered course costs). There are no commissions in your first year, meaning no pressure to rush through a high patient load — our focus is entirely on your learning, growth and clinical excellence.

Clinical reasoning and treatment planning — develop strong frameworks for decision-making
Exercise prescription and progression for effective outcomes
Case presentations and peer discussions tailored to your individual learning needs

Observation opportunities across diverse clinical areas
Career pathway planning to support long-term professional growth.
You’ll also have access to fortnightly team in-services, external presenters, with mentoring and exposure to experienced clinicians across multiple specialty areas.
